31:17 gets its name from Proverbs 31, which describes a phenomenal woman of faith. Verse 17 says, "She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks." No matter what industry she works in, our member knows she is equipped by God. 31:17 is here to be her resource. Our purpose is her purpose.
Seen. Heard. Affirmed.
All women of faith need a space. Black women need resources. The coworking market has created women-centric spaces but lack the representation, cultural competency, or fellowship to address our needs.
As is, the market has yet to cater to an underresourced market with an underestimated spending power...Black women. In Chicago, multiple coworking spaces exist. Black women need the catalyst for kingdom-orientation in their endeavors.
31:17 is uniquely qualified to cultivate a vertical ecosystem for Black Christian women that includes community, fellowship, and business resources.

Rooted in a Rich History
The historic Monument of Faith Evangelistic Church is home to the 31:17's Beta Space. The church was founded by the late Apostle Richard D. Henton, who was a world-renowned leader and pioneer in televangelism. Apostle R. D. Henton ministered through syndicated television networks like TBN, the Work Network and WJYS, various conferences, convocations, conventions and mass meetings throughout the country. His impact in Chicago, including over 1,000 recorded sermons, is exhibited in the Harold Washington Library.
